Meditation and positivisation are interlinked - both help and support each other. Meditation gives inner strength and willpower to adhere to the practices of positivisation, especially during tough and testing situations. Positivisation inturn helps us to do quality meditation and experience samadhi easily. It is to be noted that only with the combined efforts of meditation and positivisation, we can annihilate the arishadvargas in us.

While positivisation brings in satva guna, the process of meditation helps to go beyond all gunas, and make us eligible to attain the final liberation or Mukthi. Hence, both meditation and positivisation should be given equal importance and practiced in tandem. Both equally contribute towards giving a complete upliftment of our spiritual and material prosperity. They are like two eyes of sadhana.

There are many ways to positivise ourselves and there is no limit for positivisation. Below are some proven ways, which can be practiced by anyone, anytime and anywhere.

Forgiveness may appear like a small act, but it carries the secret of divine life.

To forgive and ask for forgiveness helps to clear a lot of blocks in us, heal a lot of inner wounds and transforms and gives us the freedom from the past where deep hurt, anger, betrayals and sufferings are buried and remain dormant.

Simple guidelines for daily practice -

Forgive all those who caused you pain and release them from your mind.

Seek forgiveness from all those people to whom you have done wrong.

Forgive yourself and others for any negative actions which had taken place in the past, of which you are aware of and those which you are unaware of.

It is recommended to do this practice just after the meditation when the mind is calm. Bless yourselves and others too; wish all of them to be in peace, happiness and harmony.

This practice helps to clear many blocks in us, and one can witness rapid progress in sadhana and eternal positivity in life.

Blessing is an act of allowing the grace of the divine to flow through us to other beings. It is the most effortless and noblest act. When we bless each other, we become a pure instrument of the divine.

We can also bless ourselves. Instead of complaining about what we don't have, we can appreciate what we already have. Once this thought is upheld, our life changes, and we will be living a very fulfilling, joyful and prosperous life. It makes us humble when we observe the invisible hand of the divine in our day-to-day lives. Also, seeking blessings from the elders, well-wishers, Guru and God inculcates an attitude of humility and surrender in us.

Blessings can be practiced soon after meditation, when the mind is calm.

Simple guidelines for daily practice -

Bless yourselves and others too.

Wish yourself and all others in the world to be in good health, to have a long life, to be prosperous, to have wisdom, and to remain in happiness and peace.

We can also bless our family members, near and dear ones, colleagues and our country and world leaders.

When we do this practice wholeheartedly, all pettiness, conflicts and differences vanish. We transform into a divine being.

Sankalpa or affirmations is a mental exercise of strengthening our wishful thoughts powerfully till the wish is materialised. This is a scientific process of 'mind' to 'matter'. It is generally coupled with powerful visualisation.

Sankalpa is a very powerful positivisation practice. Any negative thought pattern or habits can be transformed through this practice. This works at the level of our subconscious mind, and hence it can be practiced best when the mind is calm or soon after meditation.

A sadhak can use this power of sankalpa (sankalpa shakthi) for achieving any spiritual goals, like having a healthy body, a peaceful mind, a sharp intellect and eventually to attain self-realisation.

Contemplation means directed thinking towards a single topic or subject, with an open mind. It expands and opens up our mind to receive more and new knowledge. Contemplation makes us humble and helps us to become a channel for new ideas and knowledge.

Contemplation removes narrow-mindedness and stereotypical nature of thinking. It introduces a fresh perspective and a new angle of the subject into us.

Introspection or self-analysis is, observing our own thoughts, words and actions as a pure witness and correcting or refining the same for our continuous growth, till we entirely positivise our personality.

Introspection is a very powerful postivisation tool, without which we cannot follow Yama and Niyama or transform our arishadvargas - the six negative traits.

Introspection is a continuous process. One can maintain a spiritual diary to record and reflect each day's result of our trials and thereby monitor our progress. Introspection quickens our spiritual progress and streamlines our body, mind and intellect towards the goal of self-realisation.

Satsang means being in divine company. It can be an association with a smaller or larger number of people.

Satsang with a Guru periodically, gives more opportunities to align with the Divine. Satsang helps us to stay anchored and move steadfast in our spiritual journey, especially during the low phase of our life - be it mentally or physically. Through satsang we prioritise, set goals and vision, discuss and exchange various aspects of sadhana, learn and unlearn many things, and delve deeper into our spiritual life.
